I am of the opinion that Mr. Barlow's request for full pay in respect of the extra summer vacation at Queen's College should be refused.
In this year it was never contemplated that masters other than those in the College should draw full pay during any periods other than February and August in each year, in addition to the two months' vacation leave usually allowed at the commencement of their long leave.
Mr. Barlow, at the expiry of his leave, will have enjoyed four months' full pay, which appears to be a sufficiently liberal allowance.
